Senior Financial / Data Analyst
BusinessPro StubbsGazette is planning to recruit a Senior Financial / Data Analyst to support its publishing, data mining, and IT department in the creation and maintenance of reports, dashboards, and a sophisticated data warehouse. The data stored includes consumer and company data from multiple sources for example, the Companies Registration Office, Dun & Bradstreet and Commercial Courts in Ireland and the U.K.This position will consolidate the company’s leadership role in managing and maintaining the integrity of the data used for the analysis and reporting of information that forms the basis of good credit decisions, debt reporting & recovery.The role will provide external client support to key Corporate Customers and internally will liaise with Corporate IT on Business Intelligence tools and Data Warehouse issues.

Primary Duties:
Provide support for the following:

• Create tools to extract patterns from BusinessPro data, transforming the data into information that can be used for risk/opportunity profiling and fraud detection
• Work with Corporate IT to maximise the client value of data stored and to assist in the integration of relevant data with the Stubbs Collect Automation System (S-CAS) and the Stubbs Recoverability Index (SRI).
• Work with Corporate IT to further map data from multiple sources to the data warehouse and to identify any errors, omissions and issues with the current data mapped.
• Assist in the development, definition and analysis of key business / industry performance metrics, used by and integrated with S-CAS and the SRI.
• Contribute to the development of current and forward-looking financial models including sensitivity analyses and long-range projections that are of benefit to clients.
• Develop tools to monitor and address systems throughput, transaction flow, and process issues.
• Provide expertise on processes as they impact BusinessPro Clients, and ensure that processes are automated, providing the most complete information possible.
• Push daily, weekly, monthly publications and reports as scheduled.
• Provide feedback to operations and sales teams on process improvements.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
A solid understanding of business management and an understanding of the interfaces and interrelationships between finance, sales, marketing and business development functions is essential.

• Masters Degree in computer science, business or related area.
• 5+ years of related experience
• Experience with SPSS, data mining software or similar
• Solid project management skills, including the ability to multi-task.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Higher level of financial analysis skills.
• Results oriented with a high degree of personal integrity
• Excellent attention to detail.

Your working day is spent on the phone making outgoing calls based on a script. During each phone call, you’re likely to:

• Describe the benefits of StubbsGazette and any special offers.
• Give advice about how these benefit customers.
• Take StubbsGazette subscription orders.
• Alternatively, persuade customers to accept a trial period or for high value prospects, a visit from a sales representative.
• Gather and document information about the customer.
• Enter your notes into a computer, including dates for follow up calls.
• The work is fast paced and intense, and you have only a short amount of time to build rapport with customers and explain the features and benefits of StubbsGazette.
